Reid has become a very polarizing figure in the media, particularly for her hateful speech towards conservatives and radical views that put even her most left-wing colleagues to shame.
In 2017, as Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was recovering from being shot by a leftist wacko, Reid took the opportunity to make it political, tweeting, "Rep. #Scalise was shot by a white man with a violent background, and saved by a black lesbian police officer, and yet..."
She then doubled down on her heartless attacks on a man who had just been shot, following her initial tweet with one that showed a graphic listing his political crimes (in her mind): "Rep. Steve Scalise’s Record: Co-sponsored bill to amend Constitution, Define marriage as between a man and a woman; Voted for GOP House health bill; Co-sponsored bill to repeal ban on semiautomatic weapons."
