Former Biden Senate staffer Tara Reade accused the former vice president of sexually assaulting her in a side area of the U.S. Capitol in 1993, and the media has been completely silent in the days since.
Reade made the claim on a March 25 interview with podcaster Katie Halper, but she has been unable to prove it, much like infamous Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford.
However, unlike when Ford levied her accusations, the media have not brought out the torches and pitch forks and called for Biden's head. There has been no wall-to-wall coverage on the news networks, no cries for "you must always believe the woman," no social media warriors demanding Biden answer for his alleged wrongdoing and no comments on how our horrid patriarchal society allows such egregious actions.
So why is this so different?
