Murders Surge 100% In New York City

Shootings rose dramatically and murders increased by more than 100 percent in New York City last week as George Floyd protesters took to the streets, along with rioters who incited violence and damaged property.

According to the New York Post, there were 13 murders in the city from Monday, June 1, 2020, to Sunday night, June 7, 2020. There were five murders during that same time period the previous year.

Additionally, there 40 shootings in New York City from June 1 to June 7, 2020. There were 24 shootings during that same time period in 2019. 

Breitbart News also reports that Los Angeles saw a 250 percent increase in murders and a 56 percent jump in shootings during the week of June 1-June 7.
