Staff members for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) are demanding a video shared by President Trump showing the speaker ripping up his State of the Union address be taken off social media.
The video, which has received more than 18 million views, shows Pelosi tearing up the State of the Union address and some highlights of the speech, including the president honoring 100-year-old Tuskegee Airman Gen. Charles McGee.
Many Democrats, including Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill, have criticized the video as being misleading and doctored to lie to viewers. Hammill also attacked social media platforms for allowing the video to stay up on their respective sites.
