The Richmond City Council voted Monday to eliminate Mayor Levar Stoney's multi-billion dollar downtown Richmond renovation project from its agenda.
According to WRIC, the proposal was removed by a 5-4 vote. The five members who voted against the project were: Vice President Chris Hilbert, Councilwomen Kim Gray, Reva Trammel, Kristen Larson and Stephanie Lynch. These members also released a joint statement describing their reasons for voting down the proposal.
