Despite the false claim that President Donald Trump called the coronavirus a "hoax" having been debunked long ago, NBC's "Today" show still pushed that very claim on Tuesday.

Bouncing off a fake news from the notorious New York Times, correspondent Tom Costello reported, "The New York Times is this morning reporting that senior White House trade adviser Peter Navarro warned the President, warned the White House of the situation with the coronavirus in late January. He wrote that again on January 29th, at the time that the President was suggesting this was all a hoax."
The truth, which clearly eludes NBC and the New York Times, is that President Trump was referring to the Democrats' attempts to weaponize the virus as the "hoax," not the virus itself. Even NBC News itself published an article noting the president clarifying that he did not think the virus was a hoax.
