Raleigh Police declared on Twitter "protesting is a non-essential activity" on Tuesday following a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, calling for the reopening of the state's economy.

The police department's comments came after about 100 people gathered in downtown Raleigh on Tuesday to protest Gov. Roy Cooper's stay-at-home order over the coronavirus, calling it unconstitutional and asserting that it will kill small businesses. The crowd also claimed that the virus is not as deadly as officials have been saying, and that testing for the disease is inaccurate, according to the News & Observer.

One protestor refused to disperse and was arrested by state capitol police. As officers led here away she shouted, "God bless America."
