While bidding former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg farewell on Monday, the "real" reporters at "CBS This Morning" made sure to drop in one more reference to the 38-year-old as a "moderate" candidate.
In fact, all three major networks (CBS, ABC, NBC) pushed Buttigieg and others like Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) as "moderate" alternatives to the likes of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
CBS led off its coverage of Buttigieg's campaign suspension by saying, "The 38-year-old former Navy officer and one of the youngest presidential candidates in modern history rose to the top of a crowded Democratic field with a moderate platform."
However, to those actually paying attention, Buttigieg is no moderate. He ran on the support of abortion in every form and major gun control policies, to name a few.
