Nicholas Sandmann - the Covington Catholic student who became famous after a controversial video of him allegedly "harassing" a Native American activist went viral in January 2019 - is suing five media outlets for spreading misinformation about the incident.

WXIX-TV reported that Sandmann's attorneys filed a report with the U.S. District Court in Covington stating their intention to sue the New York Times, CBS, ABC, Gannett, and Rolling Stone for publishing false information about him regarding the encounter at the March for Life in Washington, DC.
Sandmann has already filed lawsuits against CNN,  the Washington Post, and NBC Universal.
