Gov. Ralph Northam sent a letter Thursday to the Virginia Congressional Delegation asking them to urge the federal government to provide more COVID-19 testing and screening at Virginia ICE detention centers.
The governor specifically shared his concern over the health and safety of employees and those detained at Farmville and Caroline County Detention Centers.
Meanwhile, Virginia is one of the worst states in the country when it comes to coronavirus testing for its legal residents.
