New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay is now accusing those criticizing her for pushing a major math error on MSNBC of racism. Go figure.

Last week, Gay and Brian Williams noted a tweet that read, "(Michael) Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The U.S. population is 327 million. He could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over. I feel like a $1 million check would be life-changing for most people. Yet he wasted it all on ads and STILL LOST."

Williams and Gay both marveled at this "fact," somehow failing to realize that Michael Bloomberg would actually only be able to give every American about $1.53. The two were ridiculed for their major oversight, but now Gay, a black woman, is accusing her critics of racism.

Posting a piece she wrote for the Times entitled, "My People Have Been Through Worse Than a Twitter Mob," Gay claimed, "A racist Twitter mob came for me over a trivial math mistake. I'm not going anywhere."
