The $349 billion program offers loans to small businesses amid the coronavirus that can be forgiven if the business uses the funds to pay its employees. The Small Business Administration, who administers the program, is now saying that the money has been used up.
The Trump administration has been seeking an additional $250 billion for the program, but Democrats have refused to approve such funds without their special interests being met.
