Senior White House officials are claiming that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tried to include a loophole for taxpayer-funded abortions during negotiations with the administration over coronavirus bill, the Daily Caller reports.
The officials claim that Pelosi was vying for "several" provisions that slowed negotiations with the group. Among those was $1 billion to reimburse laboratory claims, which if approved would act as a way around a federal ban on taxpayer-funded abortions.
