Politico published an article last Friday claiming that President Donald Trump called the coronavirus a "hoax" in a speech in South Carolina.
However, what the president actually said was that Democrats politicizing the virus was their "new hoax." He also reinforced several times in his speech that his administration was taking it seriously.
