Ralph Northam was asked by CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett on Friday about the Virginia Parole Board's decision to grant parole to Vincent Lamont Martin, who murdered RPD officer Michael Connors in 1979.
After Burkett asked about the board possibly violating a Virginia code in granting parole to Martin so soon (around 26:30 mark), Northam said he was "not aware" of the details of the decision and that he would "look into it."
Later, he asked Virginia Secretary of Public Safety Brian Moran to comment on the board's decision (around 30:00 mark). And when Burkett follows up (30:22 mark) by stating that the Connors family informed him and Jeff that they were not given the opportunity to speak on the decision, Ralph Northam, standing in the back at this point, looks completely befuddled by the whole thing.
