How Despicable Is Chuck Schumer? Here's Your Answer

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said on Tuesday that Joe Biden's response to the sexual assault allegations from Tara Reade has been "sufficient," according to Politico.
Asked whether he believed Reade, Schumer told Politico, "Before the #MeToo movement, women were not listened to who were telling what had happened to them. Since #MeToo, women are listened to."

He added, "Now I’ve heard Joe Biden’s explanation. I think it’s sufficient. I think he will be a great candidate. I think he will be a great president. And I think he will help us take back the Senate."

In 2018, however, Schumer demanded the confirmation hearing of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh be delayed over the unsupported allegations by Christine Blasey Ford. At the time, Schumer called it a "rape attempt."

Schumer also clamored for more "witnesses and documents" to be brought forth in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump earlier this year, saying that acquitting him would be "meaningless" without additional evidence.
