St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, has canceled the on-campus graduation ceremonies due to the coronavirus pandemic, but earlier this week, university officials announced that separate online ceremonies for LGBT, minority and international students would continue as planned.
Campus Reform reports that the school will be holding virtual graduation ceremonies for LGBT, international and minority students in May.
The university made the announcement in an e-mail to the community, saying, "self-identified domestic students of color, international students and LGBTQIA+ students" will have separate, online graduation ceremonies.
At this time, St. Olaf has made no plans for graduation ceremonies for student who do not fall under those categories.
