President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the United States holds China "fully responsible" for hiding the coronavirus and playing a major role in its rapid spread.
Speaking to reporters in the Rose Garden, President Trump blamed the Chinese government for allowing the spread of the novel virus, insisting "they could have stopped it, they should have stopped it."
He also added that Joe Biden's political career has been "a gift to the Chinese Communist Party."
"Make no mistake we hold China fully responsible for concealing the virus and unleashing it upon the world," the president said. "They could have stopped it, they should have stopped it. It would have been very easy to do at the source when it happened. In contrast, Joe Biden's entire career has been a gift to the Chinese Communist Party and to the calamity of errors that they have made. They have made so many errors, and it has been devastating for the American worker."
