Andrew Cuomo Picks The Pockets Of Emergency Medical Workers

Health care workers that voluntarily came to New York to help with the coronavirus outbreak are being forced to pay the state income tax.

During a Tuesday press conference, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo addressed the issue and said due that to his state's $13 billion deficit, they are "not in a position" to subsidize state income tax for essential workers.

WPIX-TV reports that even though Cuomo asked thousands of health care workers to come to New York to help fight the disease, those workers will have to pay New York state taxes, even on income they might have made from their home states while working in New York.
