36 Out of Residences in Two-Alarm Fire

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond firefighters say 36 people are out of their apartments, 21 of them children, following a two alarm fire in a complex off of Snead Road. The fire started shortly before 5am.

Firefighters say it took until almost 6:40am to bring under control. Firefighters are continuing to investigate the cause. A GRTC bus was brought in to keep the 36 people warm in the cold temperatures.

The Fire Department is working with the Red Cross to help find the people who were displaced housing. No cause of the fire has been determined at this point.
