Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Schools say there were additional officers at Tuckahoe Middle School on Friday. The officers were there out of caution, after there was a fight on school grounds Thursday.
Henrico Schools also say after the fight, a student reported a snapchat post. The post referenced hearing someone was going to bring a weapon to school. The district says there was no direct threat to the school and that the post appears to be unfounded.
Henrico Superintendent Amy Cashwell, just last week, asked for additional K-9 sweeps at schools. Multiple guns have been recovered at Highland Springs High School, and there has been a fight there as well. There was also a threat at Mills Godwin High School, and a stabbing at Brookland Middle School.
