Arrest in Chesterfield Hit and Run

Man Arrested a Day After Pedestrian Killed Along Hull

Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police now say they have made an arrest in a hit and run from Wednesday morning that left a Richmond man dead along Hull Street. Police say they arrested Dwayne L. Robinson, 36, of Richmond, and he was charged with felony hit-and-run in relation to the crash.

Robinson owns a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, according to Police. Police has said Wednesday the car involved in the crash that killed John Everett, 61, was a Trailblazer from between 2001 and 2009. Everett was killed early Wednesday morning as he attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of Hull Street Road near Walmsley Boulevard.

Police say tips help lead to the arrest.
