Virginia Beach, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia Beach emergency managers says officials have examined at least 115 damaged structures in the Great Neck area of the city. The National Weather Service confirms an EF3 tornado came through the city Sunday evening.
Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer says there was no loss of life and no injuries. Some schools were closed today because of the damage and the need for the buildings.
Assessment of the damage will take place over the coming week.
