New Kent, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Texas gas station chain Buc-ee's has announced their intention to open a location in New Kent, Va, along interstate 64. The well-known country store is looking to build a location off of exit 211, their first proposed foray into Virginia.

The complex is currently planned to include 120 fueling stations, 557 parking spaces, 10 bus or RV parking spaces, 24 Tesla charging stations, and a 74,000 square-foot store. Buc-ee's stores, which are open 24/7, are best known for their barbeque, their prepared food, and their novelty gifts.

In the announcement, Buc-ee's said they hope to have the store open by 2027. They intend to hire over 175 people, they say, and to pay a minimum wage of at least 16 dollars.
