Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-64 West near exit 183 (Broad/Glenside).
Three charter buses were traveling together on I-64 when the first bus encountered a pedestrian walking across the travel lane and swerved to avoid him. The second bus also braked suddenly to avoid the pedestrian and ended up hitting the back of the first bus.
The driver of the second bus was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
VSP says the pedestrian was detained by Henrico Police. The circumstances surrounding the pedestrian remain under investigation.
