Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The State Senate has voted down multiple attempts by Senator Amanda Chase (R-Chesterfield) to get the Commonwealth to spend money investigating the 2020 Presidential election. Today (Thursday) is the day the two chambers vote on their own budget proposals, setting the stage for budget negotiations.
Chase's requests, for money for the Attorney General's office, and for a forensic audit, comes a few days after she went to Attorney General Jason Miyares' office with what she claimed was a "trove" of data of irregularities. Miyares (R) has said President Joe Biden (D) won the election in 2020.
Democrats say there has been no evidence of widespread fraud in Virginia. An audit following the election found no errors.
