Chesterfield, Va. (Newradiowrva.com) -- For a second day, there were bus delays in Chesterfield. Tuesday was the second day of school for some students, but the first day for much of the student body. The District says it shared with parents delays continue because of a driver shortage.
Chesterfield entered the school year on Monday down nearly 100 drivers. The district has asked parents to drive kids and car pool, something that has lead to large backups around schools. The district stresses that it is still stopping at every bus stop.
Chesterfield is currently the only metro district in session. The other metro districts will start after Labor Day.
