Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Firefighters rescued a tiny orange kitten from a sewer in the parking lot of Brightpoint Community College on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Just before 3 p.m., crews with Chesterfield County Fire & EMS were called to the community college, located on Charter Colony Parkway. A woman had heard the kitten crying and called for help.
Crews arrived, assessed the situation, and decided to call in members of the Technical Rescue Team since the kitten was trapped in a confined space. After a two-hour effort, the team was able to bring the kitten out safely.
Fortunately, the kitten was unharmed – though, fire officials say he was definitely hungry. The person who had called for help was allowed to take the kitten home.
