Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva,com) - The Chesterfield Health District is explaining why it is only expanding partially into Phase 1B of Covid vaccinations, while neighboring districts are vaccinating everyone in the phase. Health District Director Dr. Alexander Samuel says they did not want to overpromise and underdeliver.
Samuel says Chesterfield has different demographics than the neighboring districts, and therefore, didn't feel they could fully expand right now. However, he says that could change quickly. Chesterfield is now vaccinating agricultural workers, manufacturing employees, and grocery store employees.
Samuel decline to guess as to when further expansion might be possible.
