Midlothian, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police say a man shot in a Midlothian driveway overnight confronted someone in his girlfriend's vehicle. Captain Michael Breeden says they were called around 3:30am by the man's girlfriend, who heard a gunshot and found him in the driveway.
Breeden says they do have grainy video of the confrontation but not much to go on. They are asking anyone else who may have had their car broken into off of North Carriage Lane to please contact them. The neighborhood backs up to Midlothian High School. The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Robert Ashburn.
Breeden also asks that people not confront potential criminals but rather, call police.
