Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A mulch fire on the property of a private business in Chesterfield County has been marked under control, according to Chesterfield Fire & EMS.
Officials say they received a call about a structure fire on Shell Road near I-95 and Bellwood Road. No homes or structures were affected, and there were no injuries.
"The fire was contained to the property of a business that specializes in yard products," said Lauren Russell, Chesterfield Fire & EMS. "No homes were damaged and there were no injuries."
The fire was marked under control at 9:06 a.m., but crews are expected to remain on scene for an extended amount of time today.
