CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – UPDATE: Chesterfield Police now say they two men, who remain unidentified, shot at each other during an argument.
ORIGINAL: Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 8710 Midlothian Turnpike. At about 12:05 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two males suffering from gunshot wounds inside a room.
One victim was pronounced deceased on-scene and the other was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police are continuing to investigate; however, there is no immediate threat to the community.
