Chesterfield Police Investigating Two Weekend Shootings

Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Police in Chesterfield are investigating two shootings that occurred over the weekend – one resulted in a death and the other resulted in an injury.

The shooting that resulted in a death took place in Brandermill. Police found the victim in a car on Northwich Drive. He later died at the hospital.


The victim has now been identified as Barry Jordan. At this time, police have not released any suspect information.

The other shooting took place at Falling Creek Apartments. On Saturday, March 16 at around 1 a.m., officers were made aware of a shooting that took place on the 2500 block of Marina Drive at Falling Creek Apartments.

Officers learned a man was taken to the hospital by friends after someone approached him while he was sitting in a car and shot into the vehicle. According to police, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

So far, there have been no arrests made in either case and no word from police on whether the incidents are related.
