Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police are warning people about heavy traffic Wednesday along Iron Bridge Road, as the funeral of Irvo Otieno is scheduled to take place at First Baptist Church. Otieno died March 6th at Central State Hospital, and seven Henrico Sheriff's deputies and three Central State Hospital employees face murder charges in his death. The Reverend Al Sharpton is scheduled to give a eulogy.
Drivers on Wednesday are advised of the following:
Motorists who don’t plan to attend the service should avoid the area, including Iron Bridge Road, Omo Road and Chippenham Parkway between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Motorists who are traveling to the event via Chippenham Parkway and eastbound Iron Bridge Road will need to make a U-turn at Omo Road to get to First Baptist Church, as there is no left turn from eastbound Iron Bridge Road directly into the church parking lot.
Police will be in the area to monitor and direct traffic beginning at 10 a.m.
