Midlothian, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Chesterfield Police say the Medical Examiner has determined remains found in backpack in a dumpster along Hull Street Monday were fetal remains. Police also say the girl tied to the remains is a juvenile.

Police originally found the remains after a store employee witnessed a young woman put a backpack in a dumpster behind a store near Hull Street and Genito Road. The employee investigated, saw blood on the backpack, and called Police. Police discovered the remains, and then released security camera video of the girl because they were worried about her condition, or the condition of someone she knew.

Police learned the identity of the girl earlier this week. They have no made her name public, nor have they said if the fetal remains belonged to her. The Medical Examiner still needs to determine manner and cause of death, and Police are still investigating if any crime occurred
