Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police say they will be running a targeted traffic enforcement along Midlothian Turnpike next week. The enforcement will run September 12th through the 18th, and will focus primarily on an area east of Courthouse Road.
Chesterfield Police say over the past 12 months, there have been three fatal accidents and three pedestrian deaths in the area. Police say with the pedestrian deaths, they are asking people who chose to walk to wear light colored clothing, make sure they are seen, and even carry a flashlight.
Chesterfield has been doing a number of targeted enforcements recently, concentrating on major roads where they have seen speeding, distracted driving, drunk driving, and other issues.
