Greensboro, N.C. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A positive Covid test has ended UVA's run at the ACC Tournament in North Carolina. The test, plus the protocols surrounding it, has cancelled tonight's game between UVA and Georgia Tech, with Tech moving on to tomorrow's Championship Game.
UVA is now working to try and make sure it is eligible for next week's NCAA tournament. Players need seven clear days of tests to be able to play in the tournament. This is the second ACC Tournament game cancelled because of Covid, following Thursday's cancellation of the Duke-Florida State game.
UVA is the defending national champion from 2019. There was no tournament last year,
