Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Saturday is the one-year anniversary of the murder of Lucia Bremer, and it's been asked by Lucia's family that people mark the grim occasion by doing something to be of service or kindness to someone.
One of the events going on Saturday is a food drive at the Canterbury Recreation Association at Pump and Patterson in Henrico from 9 am to noon. The food drive is in conjunction with Feedmore. Feedmore is asking that anything is acceptable, except glass containers.
Angie Hutchison, the facility manager at Canterbury Recreation Association, where the Bremer family are members, says that the family was not specific on the acts of kindness that people do on the anniversary. Just make it a day where you are of service to others or act in a kind way toward others.
If you cannot make it to the food drive, you can monetarily donate to Feedmore through this link.
A video has been shared by the Bremer family. That can be seen here.
