Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Richmond-Henrico Health District says there is heavy demand for the "toddler" Covid-19 vaccine. The district held its first clinic on Wednesday in western Henrico. Spokeswoman Cat Long says they expected to serve 40 kids, and ended up serving 60.
Long says in addition, seven to ten people were given appointments to come back at another time. The district is holding a clinic in the city of Richmond on Thursday. However, the district is encouraging people to make appointments rather than walk-in.
Toddler vaccines were approved last week.
