Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Senator Adam Ebbin (D-Alexandria) says he's stunned, after Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) vetoed nine of his bills. Youngkin vetoed 25 bills passed by the General Assembly this session.
Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw (D-Fairfax) went further, calling it a partisan attack. Youngkin, in his statement accompanying his vetoes, says they fit in line with his committment to make Virginia the best place to live and raise a family.
Ebbin and Youngkin have been at odds this session. Ebbin played a prominent role as the Democratically-run Senate defeated Youngkin's choice for Natural Resources Secretary as well as his first round of nominees for the Parole Board.
