Dinwiddie, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Dinwiddie High School was evacuated and dismissed Wednesday morning following what school officials are terming an "incident." The Sheriff's Department says a chemistry experiment went wrong and resulted in a fire. Three students and a teacher were injured badly enough to be transported to VCU Medical Center. Another student was injured, but was treated and released at the scene.
There were a steady stream of parents picking up children at the school. Emergency vehicles could also be seen. The school will have an "asynchronous" day Thursday before returning to the building Friday.
