Through the new system, which can be accessed through each specific DMV location's website, users can reserve their spot in line at the location they intend to visit. Then, when they arrive, they send a text and wait for their number to be called.
Visitors can also access the service when they arrive and register from their seat in the waiting area. The DMV hopes that this will make visits faster, easier, and require less planning. Users can streamline their next trip to the DMV by visiting the DMV locations website, or by texting 89247.
