
Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A man was received non-fatal injuries in a shooting on I-95 North yesterday, according to Virginia State Police.
At around 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning, a man was driving north on I-95 when a vehicle he didn't know pulled up behind him and started shooting. The man was shot in the forearm but drove himself to safety in Ashland, where he called authorities. He was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred between mile markers 85 and 86 on I-95 north, near the Henrico/Hanover line. At this point, VSP say they don't believe it was a road rage incident, but investigation remains ongoing.
Now, State Police are looking for information from anyone else traveling I-95 in Henrico at that time. They are interested in any suspicious activity witnessed in that area yesterday morning, including road rage or other erratic behavior. Anyone with information can call 804-609-5656 or dial #77.
