Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield residents may notice a large volume of emergency services personnel near the Chesterfield Airport on October 7. This will be due to a training exercise tied to Chesterfield's National Disaster Medical Systems.
From about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, there will be an increased presence of ambulances, emergency medical service vehicles and law enforcement at the Chesterfield Airport. The training exercise will not be open to the public.
County officials strongly encourage people not to call 9-1-1 or gather near, or at, the Chesterfield Airport during the duration of the emergency training. Drivers in the vicinity of the airport are encouraged to follow all designated traffic patterns.
