Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Virginia State Police say they were called to a five-vehicle crash on I-95 south at Route 54 (exit 92). The crash resulted in one fatality.
Both directions of the interstate saw heavy delays as a result of the crash. As of 11:30 a.m., I-95 south is still shut down. State police say the southbound lane will likely remain shut down for at least another hour, potentially longer.
VSP says they are still investigating the crash and working to notify the victim's family. No other injuries have been reported.
