Prince Edward County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Authorities continue to search for the two inmates who escaped from Piedmont Regional Jail early Monday morning. Since both escapees were federal detainees with no local charges or affiliations to the Prince Edward County area, the investigation has now been turned over to the FBI and the US Marshals Service.

One of the inmates, Alder Marin-Sotelo, was being held on federal gun charges but is a person of interest in the murder of a Wake County North Carolina deputy in 2022. The FBI has now requested digital billboards be put up in several states with Marin-Sotelo's photo -- some have already gone up around Richmond. The other inmate, Bruce Callahan, was being held on federal narcotics charges.

Anyone who sees them or has any information is asked to call 911.
