Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Colonial Pipeline is back up and running, and fuel is moving once again. But AAA Mid-Atlantic Spokesman Morgan Dean says it may take "several days" for gas stations to return to normal. He says "several days" may even vary for area to area or station to station.
Gas prices have jumped 15 cents since Monday. Dean says they are unlikely to drop fast, if at all, once fuel rolls in because summer and Memorial Day demand are approaching. He says May was expected to see rising prices regardless of the shutdown.
Dean says the good news is that stations should be at normal levels well ahead of Memorial Day trips.
