Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Governor Ralph Northam (D) and Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin (R) met Thursday at the Governor's mansion to discuss the transition of power. Both men met with the press but divulged few details of substance on the meeting.

The Northams presented the Youngkins with small gifts. Youngkin, who takes office on Janaury 15th, also said it was a start of a friendship, and that he's thankful to have someone to call when he has questions.

Youngkin ran on making many changes to things the Northam Administration had put in place, and he's vowed to reverse a number of things, including the gas tax increase, on Day 1. The two did not actually discuss politics in front of the media on Thursday.
