Virginia Beach, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Glenn Youngkin spoke today at the Commonwealth's Veteran's Day ceremony and grand opening of the new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center in Virginia Beach.
At the ceremony, Youngkin expressed gratitude to veterans for "answering the call to defend and protect our freedoms."
"Today is a day where we offer one clear sentiment: thank you," Youngkin said. "Thank you for loving our country. Thank you for putting your life at risk."
The new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center, for which there was a ribbon cutting, will have a variety of amenities for well-deserving veterans.
"It was designed with a vision including private rooms, organized into households," Youngkin said. "The services offered will include skilled nursing and memory care, along with significant rehabilitative care. It will be like a little city, with a barbershop and dining areas."
