Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond's Gun Buyback event will take place Saturday morning at 10am at Liberation Church on Midlothian Turnpike. Gift cards for up to $250 will be given out for guns that are turned in.
The $250 gift card is for people who turn in assault rifles. No questions will be asked about the guns during the event. A $25 gift card will be available for anyone turning in an inoperable gun.
You have to be 18 or over to participate for legal reasons. The gun must be unloaded and transported in the trunk of the vehicle. The goal of the event is to get as many guns as possible off the streets.
